This is an excellent example of the Mercedes M Class. This is the diesel model with the 2.7 litre Mercedes engine which returns over 30mpg, and this car also has the optional seven seat option fitted – making it an ideal all-round prestigious family vehicle!
This car has been owned by a gentleman in his early 60’s and he has spent a lot of money to ensure that the car is maintained correctly. He owned the car for a little over 2 years. He is thankfully the sort of person who cares about their car and has spent a lot of money ensuring that any minor fault is immediately remedied…
As well as keeping the service history up to scratch, he also had a new clutch fitted in January 2008, and also had a new Air Conditioning Condenser fitted in June 2008 (we have the invoices for this work with the paperwork included with the car). If only all owners would be so caring towards their vehicles!
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in a very attractive shade of metallic dark blue, and the condition is excellent all around. The car is a 2001 model, so if you specifically look for faults you may find the odd minor scuff or stone chip, but overall the condition is genuinely excellent (see the photo’s – they say a thousand words). In fact the bodywork is in far better condition than most 2001’s we see, with only a scuff (around 2 inches long) to one of the wing mirrors being an obvious fault.
The 16†original Mercedes alloy wheels are also in excellent condition. The car has also recently had new tyres, the two rear tyres are Dunlop, and all four have plenty of tread remaining.
The car is also fitted with a tow bar with full electrics. The car does not actually appear to have done a lot of towing, but it’s a very useful extra for those who may use it.
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a Mercedes model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard.
The seats are finished in grey half-leather, and all seats are in perfect condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
This car is fitted with the optional seven seat option. In the photo’s you will see the rear seats in place. These two rear seats fold up and into the sides of the boot, making for a huge load space when required. Additionally, both rear seats fold down and fold further again flat into the floor for an absolutely monstrous loading area which would match some of the biggest estates on the market (but with even more vertical loading space!) – making this a great all-round car!
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY and come complete with the stamped Mercedes Service Log book.
The car was last serviced with Gerry Doverman Mercedes Benz Specialists at 74,632 miles and was the B Service (the big one). So the next service (when required) will only be the minor A service.
