This rare Sport model features the newer 7-speed gearbox, which is fully Tiptronic and has paddle shifts on the steering wheel – perfect for taking manual control and manoeuvres such as overtaking etc.
This is the superb E280 CDI (diesel) model, which offers the best combination of performance and economy in the Mercedes diesel engine range. The excellent 3.0 litre engine returns 37mpg whilst providing a very capable 187bhp. The 0-60mph time is an extremely respectable 7.9 seconds, and the car has a top speed of 143mph – so more than capable for day to day driving or cruising the motorways.
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious metallic silver and is in excellent condition all-around. There may be couple of small stone chips to the front of the car as to be expected – but we’re being overtly picky, you’d have to purposefully search around for them!
The alloy wheels are 18†Sport alloys, which really do give the car a much more modern and sporty look than the standard E Class alloys. Tyres are all in excellent order with plenty of tread remaining.
The car is fitted with folding wing mirrors, which are set to automatically unfold when you first open the drivers door after unlocking, and automatically fold back into place when you lock the car again.
Make no mistakes – this car looks absolute stunning. A real eye-catcher!
THE INTERIOR:
The seats are finished in black leather, and all seats are all in extremely good condition. Leather was an option extra for the E Class, and originally would have cost £980 as an option.
The front seats are both heated for maximum comfort on those cold winter days.
This particular car has the top-end Comand system fitted which offers full satellite navigation on its full colour screen.
Another nice feature is the automatic load cover in the boot. Simply open the boot and the load cover automatically lifts up ready for you to load or unload, and the lowers again when you close the boot. It’s a really nice feature, and of course when loading taller items into the boot you can simply return the load cover to its rolled-away state.
The car also has the soft-close boot. So, no need to slam the boot – just let it drop down lightly into place and an electric motor will take over and pull the boot closed for you. Mercedes really do try to think of everything!

The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Service Log book.
