The Jaguar S-Type was introduced as a top-level prestige cruiser designed to compete with the likes of the Mercedes E Class and BMW 5 Series. Combining superb luxury and refinement with excellent engines and a touch of British flair, the S-Class has rightfully enjoyed a large level of success world-wide and continues to prove that when it comes to luxury a Jaguar really is in a class of its own.
This is the rare Sport XS model with the 2.7 diesel engine. The XS model (an acronym for Excess) was a top-of-the-range model that came with virtually every S-Type optional extra fitted as standard. Not only that, but they were also supplied with the famous XS bodykit as standard, which completely transforms the look of the car…
The XS bodykit gives the vehicle a ‘chunkier’, sportier and more prestige look and feel. The front end of the car is transformed due to an extended lower bumper section, complete with steel wire mesh grilles and chrome fog light surrounds. The front grille itself is also up-rated to the XS version which comes with steel mesh grille to match the lower sections.
The XS bodykit continues along the sides of the car with the XS side skirts, and follows around to the rear. The rear XS bumper is also extended with a lower bumper section, again complete with steel mesh grille, and the actual exhaust pipes are built in to the bumper design for a sporty and prestigious look.
This particular car is finished in metallic blue, and complemented with full cream perforated leather interior. This particular combination is quite rare in the XS model, but we’re confident that you’ll agree that this colour combination really stands out from the standard silver with black leather combination, and adds an extra touch of class to the overall look and feel of the car.

Being the Sport XS model this car benefits from having the Sport Suspension fitted as standard. This gives a far superior ride to the standard suspension and makes for a more involving driving experience, whilst eliminating the ‘wallow’ that some drivers have experienced on the softer standard suspension.
The car is fitted with the superb Jaguar 2.7 diesel engine. This is a V6 engine and is very quiet for a diesel, especially when coupled with the excellent noise insulation within the cabin itself – making for a silky-smooth drive. The engine outputs a more than capable 206bhp, does 0-60mph in a very respectable 8.1 seconds – but best of all in these cost-conscious times, will do over 45mpg on longer runs.
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in stunning metallic blue and is in excellent condition all-around. As mentioned above, the car is fitted with the full XS bodykit and so has a far superior overall look and ‘feel’ to the standard S-Type – and at all angles of viewing. The bodykit really does make the car look that little bit extra-special. As is normal, there are a few minor superficial stone chips to the front lower XS bumper (because they sit so low to the ground) but nothing untoward or unexpected.
The car is fitted with the original Jaguar 18 inch alloy wheels. The wheels are in very good condition and the tyres are all Pirelli and have plenty of life remaining.
This car is also fitted with factory fitted parking sensors on the rear to aid parking.
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a top-end Jaguar model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard.
The seats are finished in gorgeous perforated cream leather, and all seats are all in extremely good condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
The car has electric adjustable seats. The driver’s seat memorises two different positions, so if you and your partner drive the same car, simply open the door, press the memory seat button and it will automatically adjust the seat, steering wheel, and door mirrors to your own unique settings!
The car is fitted with parking sensors for the rear and are 100% fully functioning and very useful when parking (it’s quite a big car!)
This model includes the full in-car entertainment and Sat Nav system, which is touch screen and sits within the centre console and has a full colour screen. This system controls the Radio, Sat Nav, CD Player, CD Multichanger, climate control and so on. Additional controls are located on the steering wheel for ease of access/use whilst driving.
The leather trim extends on the door cards, and even on the surround for the centre console section, and the car has the XS latticed steel effect inserts to match the styling of the grille inserts on the exterior of the car.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Jaguar Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with Honda Carlisle on 8th August 2012 at 74,684 miles. The next service is not now due for approximately another 13,000 miles.
