The BMW M3 was first introduced way back in 1983 as the high performance and top of the range model for the BMW 3 series. Over the years the M3 has further developed both its power output and performance, and has remained a firm favourite for driving enthusiasts, and is considered to be a superb all-round car both on the road as well as on the racing track.
The BMW M3 comes in three forms: the Coupe (2 door), Saloon (4 door) and Convertible. This outstanding example is in the sportiest of its three guises – the Coupe, and is finished in glorious metallic silver, which genuinely compliments the shape and lines of the car in a way that no other colour quite seems to match.
The is the SMG II model (Sequential Manual Gearbox) which is a 6 speed automatic system, but unlike standard automatic systems, the SMG system features an automatic clutch– which makes the gear change process very similar in feel to a manual gearbox (but with no need to operate a manual clutch). The SMG II is an absolutely superb gear system and quite a wonder to behold. You can leave the car in fully automatic mode for lazy cruises, or manually shift the gears yourself using either the gear stick or the paddles mounted on the steering wheel – offering the best of both worlds.
The car is fitted with the famous 3.2 litre BMW M3 engine, which produces a staggering 338bhp (that’s over 100bhp per litre!) with a 0-60mph time of 5 seconds flat. It’s certainly a car to be both cherished and enjoyed!
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in stunning metallic silver and is in absolutely superb condition all-around. There are a couple of very minor stone chips to the front of the car as to be expected (being a performance car) – but we’re being overtly picky, you have to look around for them! The car is simply stunning and the condition is genuinely excellent.
The 18 inch genuine BMW M Sport alloy wheels really do finish off the look of the car and all four wheels have recently all been professionally refurbished so are genuinely virtually immaculate.
The car also has rear parking sensors fitted – which can be extremely useful when parking in tight spaces or bad weather.
The car also features bi-xenon headlights, clear indicator lenses, and headlight washers, and also the excellent follow me home lighting system where the car leaves the lights on for around 30 seconds after switching the engine off when dark – giving you enough light to get safely to your front door.
THE INTERIOR:
The seats are finished in glorious black leather, and all seats are all in extremely good condition. The front seats are both electric, and the drivers seat has a memory function which is extremely useful if the car is driven by both yourself and partner with different settings required for each person – just press the memory button before you get into the care and the seats will automatically adjust itself to your personalised position.
The drivers seat also features electrically adjustable lumbar support, and also bolster width, allowing you to set the seats to hold you firmly in place when driving.
The car is fitted with the full Sat Nav system, and also includes the TV function – very useful when waiting around in the car! It is also fitted with the Blue Tooth telephone preparation.
The boot is (surprisingly) actually very large (more than large enough for an average weekly shopping trip), and the rear seats fold down for even more loading space, making the car very convenient for day to day use.
