The Audi RS6 is a driver’s dream-car. Not only are they extremely powerful, but they are also four wheel drive (Quattro) and offer superb handling coupled with an exhilarating driving experience. But the buck does not stop with the Audi RS6 – it has a big brother…
This is the Audi RS6 Plus. Production of this very rare model was strictly limited to 999 units WORLDWIDE by Audi, of which only 70 were produced for the UK market.
Audi have made some major modifications to their standard model RS6 to create the RS6 Plus, most notably boosting the power output from 450bhp to a Ferrari-threatening 480bhp. To allow this boost in power Audi also fitted a new cooling system including two extra water radiators on either side of the engine.
But that was not enough for Audi whilst developing this Super Car. They also optimised the available torque by allowing the engine to run over a wider rev-range than the standard RS6 – stretching from 1,950rpm through to 6,000rpm – a 400rpm increase over the standard RS6.
They also replaced the exhaust system with an advanced version that allowed the engine to breathe a little easier – and in turn to allow the twin turbo’s to spin up faster thus producing additional thrust.
Was that all? No – they also made considerations to ensure that the handling could match the increased power output and so the car was lowered an additional 10mm as standard, and also given firmed damper settings for optimum road handling.
It really is an understatement to describe this car as rare. Remember – only 70 were ever registered in the UK. So whoever owns this car knows that there are only an additional 69 in the entire UK!
As this is the RS6 Plus model it comes complete with the official plaque next to the gear stick, showing that this car is number 41 of the 999.
This car is genuinely fully-loaded. Please see the specification list, and details below. It quite literally has EVERYTHING.
You will also have noticed that the car is finished in the best colour combination available: black with black smoked alloys (standard) and black leather seats. It’s a real mean-looking machine! We’re confident in saying that this has to be one of the best out there and would make an ideal car for collectors and enthusiasts.
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious Black and is in excellent condition all-around. The RS6 Plus was only produced in three standard colour options: silver, black and blue – and you’ll probably agree looking at the images that black really is the colour that suits the cars shape and nature!
The car is fitted with the original Audi RS6 Plus alloy wheels, which are finished in smoked black (a.k.a. anthracite) as standard. Note that these are the original wheels and in the original colour. The alloys have just been professionally refurbished and so all four are absolutely immaculate.
Also worth noting is that the RS6 Plus was fitted with a ‘Black Optic Pack’ as standard which turned the grilles, window surrounds, tailgate trim, roof rails and exhaust from the usual chrome, to black. This pack perfectly compliments the bodywork colour. On this car, literally everything is black!
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a top of the range Audi sports model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard. To match the colour of the car everything inside is also black! It has black carbon fibre inserts, and even the doors handles are finished in black (rather than chrome on the standard RS6).
The seats are finished in black leather, and all seats are in perfect condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
These are the official RS6 seats and they are actually finished in Natural Leather, which was an additional £2,500 option when purchasing the car new. The seats are almost a matt leather rather than the traditional glossy leather – very much like a Buffalo leather – and this really is a great finishing touch.
The front seats are both electric, and have memory settings for the driver. The seats are also heated – as are the rear seats!
The roof is also completely lined with gorgeous grey suede - a very luxurious feature!
The car has the full deluxe Sat Nav and entertainment system, and has both front and rear parking sensors and the Bose sound system. It has just about every gadget you can think of – check out the specifications list at the end – there’s simply too much to list here!
This is the Tiptronic model and so has the gear shift paddles on the steering wheel, so you can take manual control or let Auto take over for those lazy cruising days.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL AUDI SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Audi Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with Audi at 54,153 miles. The next service is not now due for another 5,800 miles (as shown by the on-board service indicator).
If you are serious about RS6’s then you will know that it’s essential to ensure that the timing belt is changed as per Audi’s service schedule. Well, we can confirm that Audi Reading changed the cam belt, and also fitted brand new brake pads and discs to the front AND the rear on 08/05/2009 at 51,486 miles – and the invoice for this work by Audi (£2,140) is provided with the car.
In addition to this, we also have receipts from Audi showing the work that has been done over the years – and it shows just how well looked-after this car has been. All receipts will of course be included with the car.
