The Audi RS6 is a driver’s dream-car. Not only are they extremely powerful, but they are also four wheel drive (Quattro) and offer superb handling coupled with an exhilarating driving experience.
At 1st Class Marques we’re RS6 enthusiasts, and it’s one of the models that we specialise in so it’s rare that we don’t have at least one RS6 in stock! Please be sure to check out our Previously Sold car list (link at bottom of our homepage) to see some of the RS6’s we have supplied in the past (note that cars are generated 30 cars at a time at random, so refreshing the page will show a different selection each time!)
This outstanding Audi RS6 comes complete with an exhaustive service history, mostly by Audi and renowned Audi and VW performance specialist Start Performance in Scotland. Additionally, the cambelt has been changed twice on or ahead of schedule. This has clearly been a well-loved and respected car that was wanted for very little throughout its life.
In addition, the suspension system has recently been changed from the factory standard DRC system to adjustable coilovers. The coilovers essentially replace Audi’s DRC suspension system, which can be very costly to replace when they fail. Replacing the DRC system with coilovers is one of the most popular upgrades for RS6’s. At the same time as updating to coilovers, all eight suspension arms, and top mounts have also been replaced – meaning that the suspension is essentially brand new literally top to bottom.
The car benefits from a 531bhp conversion, which was done by Star Performance. This includes Star Performances own remap, Milltek catback exhaust system, and BMC performance air filters. This work was done several years ago and so has proven a more than reliable conversion, and really does boost the power of the car considerably.
Another concern for potential RS6 owners is the cam belt change because it is very expensive on these cars (circa £1,300 + VAT). This was done by Star Performance at 77,000 miles, and also previously at 40,000 miles.
The car is finished in stunning Mugello Blue which really looks stunning with the privacy glass, and the car has full silver leather interior (this has a cream look to it, but is technically called ‘silver’ by Audi as it’s actually an extremely light shade of grey) and is absolutely packed with gadgets and gizmo’s (see the specification list below).
If you are after an outstanding RS6 with that little bit of extra flair – then this would make a very fine choice indeed!
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious Mugello Blue and is in excellent condition all-around. The car has also been fitted with privacy glass, which looks superb against the blue bodywork and silver external trims.
The car is fitted with the original 19†Audi RS6 alloy wheels, which have been refurbished fairly recently so are in good order.
The brakes are all good with plenty of life left. All four brake pads have been replaced very recently and so they’re good for plenty of time and miles to come! A nice little bonus is that this car has been fitted with the upgraded RS6 Plus discs, which are drilled for extra heat dissipation and braking performance.
The tyres are also in good order with a decent amount of tread remaining. They are a full matching set of Pirelli P-Zero’s.
The car has been fitted with privacy glass (not factory standard on RS6’s!) which really does finish off the great look of this car.
The car is finished with chrome trim around the windows, on the mirrors and also on the roof rails (which really does compliment the bodywork colour), and the car also has parking sensors on both the front and the rear – a very useful feature!
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a top of the range Audi sports model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard.
The seats are finished in ‘silver’ (many people mistake this for cream, but it’s technically a very, very light shade of grey – hence the name) and are in excellent condition. There are no tears, or rips and all seats are exactly as they should be.
These are the official RS6 Recaro seats and the front seats are both electric. The seats are also heated – as are the rear seats!
It should be noted that this car has been retro-fitted with ISOFIX points for attaching a baby seats into the rear. This is not a factory standard feature and so very rare to find on the RS6 as it must be retro-fitted, and many Audi main dealers are unable to complete the fitting. The previous owner had this work completed, but rarely used the child seat as they also had a family car, and he was so meticulous when he did use it that he put padding underneath as he was concerned he may put a dent in the leather seats. If only everyone was that thoughtful!!
The roof interior is completely lined with Alcantara (similar to suede) – which is in excellent condition – and this really is a luxurious touch that finishes off the interior beautifully. Unusually, this is finished with the lighter cream (silver) headlining rather than the more common dark grey, and it really does lighten up the interior and open up the ‘feel’ of the cabin.
The car is fitted with a full colour Sat Nav Plus head unit. Please note that, at the time of writing, the TMC tuner (Traffic Message Channel) is not operational. The radio, CD changer, sat nav etc is all working 100% as it should, but the TMC feature is non-operational. The TMC gives traffic updates, and so is not essential for day-to-day use of the sat nav. The TMC is controlled by a separate tuner box that sits outside of the head unit. This may well be repaired by the time you read this, or can be repaired at your request if you require this specific feature. It could be considered if the TMC is something that you’d actually use then please ask about this when enquiring on the car.
The dashboard and door embellishment trims are all finished in carbon fibre effect, which contrasts really well with the silver seats, door card leather inserts, and headlining.
This is the Tiptronic model and so has the gear shift paddles on the steering wheel, so you can take manual control or let Auto take over for those lazy cruising days.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Audi Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with 1st Class Marques at 84,007 miles. The next service is not now due for approximately another 9,250 miles, as shown by the cars onboard service indicator.
If you are serious about RS6’s then you will know that it’s essential to ensure that the cambelt is changed every 40,000 miles. Well, we can confirm that the cambelt was changed at 40,253 miles in September 2006 and then again at 72,767 miles in November 2010.
