The Audi RS6 is a driver’s dream-car. Not only are they extremely powerful, but they are also four wheel drive (Quattro) and offer superb handling coupled with an exhilarating driving experience.
At 1st Class Marques we’re RS6 enthusiasts, and it’s one of the models that we specialise in so it’s rare that if don’t have at least one RS6 in stock! We’re absolutely delighted to be able to offer this outstanding example with a 515bhp Unit 20 Remap. The previous owner was meticulous in nature, and spent almost £6,000 on the car with Unit 20 when he first got it as he wanted it to be absolutely perfect as he intended to keep it. He bought it from a fellow RS6 enthusiast who had also spent £1000’s on the car. Unit 20 have done all of the upgrades you see below – a major plus point and saving for its new owner!!

• Full external re-spray. There were a few minor marks around the car in-keeping with the age, mileage and nature of the vehicle. The previous keeper is somewhat of a perfectionist and so had the entire vehicle re-sprayed (in the same colour) – and the quality of the re-spray is superb. Needless to say the condition is now near immaculate.
Unit 20, who are an Audi RS6 specialist, and do a lot of work to these types of cars, have conducted a Stage 1 ECU Remap which boosts the already staggering power from 450bhp to circa 500bhp, and also boosts the torque for amazing performance.
This is a very well known, respected and reliable upgrade (see one of the various RS6 forums for more information on Unit 20’s RS6 upgrades).
In addition, the car has been fitted with a Milltek exhaust system which adds approximately an additional 15bhp to the power, and gives the car a deep throaty grumbling sound – you certainly can’t miss this car when it’s coming towards you!
The RS6’s infamous DRC suspension issue will not affect this car as it has already had its suspension changed to H&R coilovers, and lowered a fraction for a meaner appearance. The H&R coilovers essentially replace Audi’s DRC suspension system, which can be very costly to replace should it fail. Replacing the DRC system with coilovers is one of the most popular upgrades for RS6’s, and the H&R ones are amongst the best.
Another nice touch is that the anti-roll bar links have been upgraded to Hotchkis, which are superior to the Audi factory originals and a very popular upgrade for RS6 enthusiasts.
We’d also like to mention the outstanding level of factory options that are fitted to this car – easily the most option-rich RS6 we’ve yet seen! It’s important to remember that RS6’s have a very high spec to begin with and luxuries such as leather seats, sat nav, parking sensors etc are all factory standard. However, in addition, this one has been fitted with these additional factory options:
• Sunroof
• Electric steering column
• TV reception (analogue only)
• Rear passenger window blinds
• Rear window blind
• Rear heated seats
The car is supplied with an extensive service history, and we have a stack of invoices and paperwork with the car – perfect for preserving its heritage.
Another concern for potential RS6 owners is the cam belt change because it is very expensive on these cars. But again this is not an issue at all on this car because the cam belt has already been changed (see service history section below).
The car is finished in stunning metallic Avus Silver which really suits the lines of the RS6, and the car has full black leather interior and is absolutely packed with gadgets and gizmo’s (see the specification list below).
If you are after a genuine RS6 with an outstanding calibre and history and with all of the common concerns about RS6 ownership already addressed and resolved – then this would make a very fine choice indeed!
THE EXTERIOR:
The car is finished in glorious metallic Avus Silver and is in excellent condition all-around. The car has undergone a full external re-spray around two years ago (when the previous owner first bought it) and so the car is virtually immaculate in every sense. There were previously a few minor marks around the body of the car in-keeping with the age, mileage and power of the car. The previous keeper is a perfectionist and intended to keep the car indefinitely, and so immediately had a full re-spray done. The quality of the re-spray is superb – and it really does look virtually as good as it would have when rolling out of the factory back in 2004!
The car is fitted with the original 19†Audi RS6 alloy wheels, which are all in excellent condition. The brakes are also in good order, with the front pads having been recently replaced, and plenty of life remaining for the discs and rear pads.
The car also benefits from recent Dunlop Sportmax tyres – circa £700 per set.
The car is finished with chrome trim around the windows, on the mirrors and also on the roof rails (which really does compliment the bodywork), and the car also has parking sensors on both the front and the rear – a very useful feature!
THE INTERIOR:
As is to be expected from a top of the range Audi sports model, the interior is sheer luxury and finished to the highest standard.
Unusually (we’ve only seen it on one RS6 previously) the internal trims are finished in an off-white metal effect, which perfectly compliments the black interior and leather.
The seats are finished in black leather, and all seats are in excellent condition. There are no tears, rips or stains and are exactly as they should be.
These are the official RS6 Recaro seats and the front seats are both electric. The seats are also heated – as are the rear seats!
The roof interior is completely lined with dark grey Alcantara (similar to suede) – which is in excellent condition – and this really is a luxurious touch that finishes off the interior beautifully.
The car has the full deluxe Sat Nav and entertainment system complete with TV (note: analogue TV so redundant within the UK now), and has both front and rear parking sensors. It has just about every gadget you can think of – check out the specifications list at the end – there’s simply too much to list here!
This is the Tiptronic model and so has the gear shift paddles on the steering wheel, so you can take manual control or let Auto take over for those lazy cruising days.
SERVICE HISTORY:
The car has a FULL SERVICE HISTORY from new and comes complete with the stamped Audi Service Log book.
The car was fully serviced with 1st Class Marques at 83,436 miles. The next service is not now due for approximately another 10,000 miles.
If you are serious about RS6’s then you will know that it’s essential to ensure that the timing belt is changed as per Audi’s service schedule. Well, we can confirm that Unit 20 changed the cam belt at 77,566 miles (on 30/11/2011) – and the invoice for this work is provided with the car.
In addition to this, we also have receipts from Audi and Unit 20 showing the work that has been done over the years – and it shows just how well looked-after this car has been. All receipts are of course included with the car.
